LUMINATO 2008

IT'S OUR TURN...
In June I attended the Luminato closing weekend celebrations at the Toronto distillery district. See below (or not) for a few pics of the event and art installations throughout the city.

For the past two years in June, Luminato - Toronto's Festival of Arts and Creativity has taken center stage as the world's newest international multidisciplinary arts festival. The inaugural festival in 2007 attracted over one million participants to over 100 events, including 10 world premieres, and 3 Canadian premieres. Luminato began as an aspiration for Toronto to realize its true potential as one of the most creative cities in the world.
Thanks to Charlize, funinthegym, Craig James White, and ME for the photography

Tom Payne and Bruce Kuwabara of KPMB hung 250 LED-lit balloons from ropes over Yonge Dundas Square and created an outdoor dance hall for Luminato 2008 events.

Artscape - Famous Women gallery at BCE place, only posting this because my boss's wife was one of the famous women... haha
