I WISH I WAS THERE: Kanyeez's House LA

THROW SOME DDESIGN ON IT
(haha, please don't hate me)

Who: Kanye West's Apartment designed by Don Stewart
Where: Los Angeles
Duration: 3 years
Photography: Art Gray

Kanye got stacks, ya'll aleady know that. But did you know West studied fine art at the American Academy of Art in Chicago (on scholarship), collects pop art (Warhol/Murakami) and is a hardcore design freak? This 4,200-square-foot, three-level house is surprisingly restrained—the furthest thing imaginable from the typical tasteless crack seen on MTV Cribs. Drawing inspiration from The Bulgari in Milan and the Grand Hyatt in Tokyo, Mr.West describes his home as a cross between a museum and a Louis Vuitton boutique.

Thanks to Interior Design Magazine and Art Gray.
